The Challenge:
Mobility and Compliance, getting access to your drawings, policies, procedures, and risk assessment is essential, access to email is expected as most communications happen this way.
Then there is the issue of how you get internet access in a metal cabin often in the most rural of locations. Failure to get this right, results in frustrated site managers, poor client relations and potential delays to construction/builds.

The PC Comms Solution:
Planning ahead!
PC Comms tackle this firstly by setting out clear guidance on what is possible and what is not, for example if there is no internet coverage available there is no point promising there will be. With enough time to plan however most obstacles can be overcome.
Internet connectivity can be provided via Broadband, Mobile Networks 4G/5G and Satellite. Hopefully connectivity issues will soon be a thing of the past as new Satellite technologies are emerging towards the end of 2021.
Using the Microsoft Cloud, it is possible to overcome some connectivity issues, by allowing documents to sync with devices thereby enabling off-line access. This needs to be planned for in advance and some user training is essential.
By providing both on-line and offline access to files, this ensures activity and, most importantly, safety can continue and be maintained as access to the relevant documents is always available.
Once the user is back online the sync resumes and data is updated.
“Qube Construct – We construct, refurbish and maintain buildings to the highest standards throughout the Southwest. PC Comms helped us migrate over to Microsoft 365 from our existing Gmail accounts. They then helped us utilise SharePoint included with Microsoft 365 for our cloud storage. This has improved our communications, allowed us to work remotely and improved security.”
