Operating a long running Business with dozens of staff who deliver renowned excellent customer service, reliability is of paramount importance for Livery Dole.
Scenario
Livery Dole have been supplying Devon and the South West with quality vehicles for over a Century. Over that time, the reliance on IT has grown, along with the level of staffing. PC Comms have been the backbone to their IT infrastructure for over 20 years. As the current server was coming to the end of it’s life, we provided Livery Dole with the alternative option of removing the server, not having to replace it with a costly hardware solution.
Steps taken
One of the main priorities for PC Comms is to always do what is best for the customer, covering every angle, from budget, reliability and Security. This project ticked all of those boxes.

The use of the server was to permit logins and access data. For future logins, the clients are now Azure joined with conditional access applied, allowing for greater security controls. Alongside this, all data was migrated to the cloud, removing the necessity for a local hardware backup, lower energy costs, and a true hybrid working experience.
We kept user downtime to zero as file transfers were carried out overnight and out of hours.
